I have long been a fan of Lime Crime - everything they produce is of fantastic quality in pretty packaging, but the one product that I believe is the jewel in their crown is definitely their Eyeshadow Helper.
The one I have is fairly old (as you can see it's in a little pot) and they have updated the packaging so it is now in a tube (much more hygienic!). It claims to make your make up waterproof, whilst also intensifying the colour. I can personally attest that these claims are fact.
Previously, I swore by Urban Decay's primer, but this one just blows it out of the water. I have really oily lids, but my eye shadow will last all day and all night with this, only coming off when I take it off (with waterproof eye make up remover). I never wear eye shadow without it now.
I generally apply it with my fingers all over my eyelids - it works really well at neutralising any redness or discolouration. It is quite thick when it comes out of the pot, but it glides onto your eyes really smoothly, so you can adjust how much you apply to suit your tastes.
It is a little expensive, but it is at the same time worth every single penny you spend on it because it just works, and well at that.
