I've never been much of a jewellery girl, but last year (after reading about how a statement necklace will help turn me into the most stylish fashionista imaginable) I invested in a humongous tribally/ spikey necklace from New Look that I wore with pretty much everything. Having decided to expand my collection of statement necklaces, I toddled off to town in search for some.
Lo and behold, the first place I went in, good old Primarni, turned out to be a cornucopia of beautiful necklaces that I think look a heck of a lot more expensive than they really are (and doesn't everyone love finding one of those items?!). Although there were many necklaces to choose from, I ended up getting three that just screamed Spring - being pastel, flowery and sparkly (three of my favourite things). Since I bought them I pretty much haven't taken them off. It just elevates a simple outfit with minimal effort, making it look like you've made more effort than you actually have. And when you feel a bit blah, seeing that little bit of sparkle really does brighten up your day.
In conclusion, get down to your nearest Primark now, before I buy all the remaining necklaces.
